Bench services · GIA Excellent / AGS Ideal
Bespoke and private-label diamond cutting, to GIA Excellent standard.
Beyond supplying finished goods, our bench cuts to specification. For designers and trade partners that means stones made to a brief, recuts that lift an existing stone, and private-label manufacture cut to GIA Excellent and AGS Ideal in Bedfordview.
Cutting to specification
When a design calls for a particular shape, size, and make, we cut to meet it rather than hunting the market for an approximate match. That covers the common brilliant and step cuts, calibrated goods for repeatable production runs, and fancy shapes where the proportions matter to the finished piece. The brief drives the make, not the other way around.
Recuts and repolishing
An older or poorly cut stone often leaks light it should be returning. A recut can improve symmetry, polish, and light performance, and can sometimes lift a stone into a higher cut grade. It trades a little weight for a better-looking, more saleable diamond. We assess the stone and its certificate first and tell you honestly whether the gain is worth the loss before any wheel touches it.
Private-label for designers and brands
Designers and jewellery brands can have stones cut to their own specification on our bench and supplied under their own label, with GIA certification and a documented provenance trail behind each stone. Your brand on the front; a licensed South African beneficiator on the bench. It is the same cutting standard that supplies our own wholesale trade goods.
The standard we hold, and why
We cut to GIA Excellent and AGS Ideal, and only that. The reason is economic as much as it is about pride in the make. Lower-grade cutting beneficiates the same rough to a lower yield and a weaker stone, which is bad economics for everyone in the chain. Higher-grade cutting is what makes our beneficiation structure profitable on its own merits. The standard is the business model, not a marketing line.
Common questions
- Do you cut diamonds to a custom specification?
- Yes. We cut natural diamonds to specification for designers and trade partners, including calibrated goods and fancy shapes, to GIA Excellent and AGS Ideal standard.
- Can you recut or repolish an existing diamond?
- Often, yes. A recut can improve make, symmetry, and light return, trading some weight for performance. We assess the stone and certificate first and advise whether it is worthwhile.
- Do you offer private-label cutting for jewellery brands?
- Yes. Brands can have stones cut to their own specification on our bench, supplied with GIA certification and a documented provenance trail, for sale under their own label.
